Carl Schmitt: Modern devlet düşüncesinde şeytanın avukatı

Abstract

20. yüzyılın önemli siyaset düşünürlerinden olan Cari Schmitt'in politik olan kavramı üzerinden siyaseti tanımlaması ve bunun devlet görüşünü oluşturmadaki önemi vurgulanarak, Schmitt'in liberalizmin siyaset ve devlet kavrayışına yönelik itirazları incelenecektir. Schmitt'in bu görüşlerinin günümüz devlet ve siyaset anlayışına ne kadar etkide bulunduğu araştırılacaktır.

In this article we want to show, German thinker Carl Schmitt's theory of state, his critique of liberalism within his conception of state. However to investigate the Schmitt's concept of state with all its extent would exceed the size of an article. Because of this we will investigate his concept of state in general outlines. The reason for our investigation Schmitt's - one of the major political thinker in 20th century- thought is; his thoughts and claims remains their vitality. We also consider that it will be fruitful to look the philosophical roots of contemporary political debates over Schmitt's thoughts. We think that, for re-evaluating the political dimension of international relations and for local political debates, Carl Schmitt's thoughts are seminal.
