RIGHT POLITICAL PARTIES IN TURKEY IN THE GLOBALIZATION PROCESS: THE JDP AND THE NMP

Abstract

Objectives: Globalizationis evslusted as a crucial concept and a kind of process in academic and politicalspheres of Turkey, especially in recent years.'nbsp;Thus, this study aims to assess whether conformedor not with the global political system in the transformation process of right partiesunder go after 1980s with the globalization.Methods: The study aims to make clear whether processescarried on in harmony with each other political parties’ bases, representing theelectoral thres hold through the parliament, and the two have almost the same politicalparty, having same bases, the JDP and the NMP with the global political system processes.By the aim of the study it is feasible to make prediction supon there lationshipsandal so about success of parties whether reflected on or not in the processof conforming of parties with global politic system. In this context, mixed methodwasused as acombination of survey method and interview. Surveys were conducted withbase staffs both these two parties in 14 cities andalso interviews were carriedout in the same direction with the management team. Results: In this way,political parties which follow policies in accordance with the global politicalsystem and also with more linear policies with their base staffs, come out asmore succesfull.

Amaç: Türkiye’deözellikle son yıllarda siyasi ve akademik birçok tartışma alanında küreselleşmeönemli bir kavram ve süreç olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Buradan hareketleçalışmanın temel konusu; küreselleşmenin Türkiye’deki sağ siyasi partilereetkileri olarak belirlenmiştir. Türkiye’deki sağ siyasi partilerin 1980’lerdensonra küreselleşme ile birlikte yaşadıkları dönüşüm sürecinin küresel siyasisisteme uyumunun değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır.Yöntem: Çalışma Türkiye’nin sağsiyaseti temsil eden, mecliste yer alan ve birçok açıdan benzer tabana sahipiki siyasi partisi olan Ak Parti ve MHP örnekleri üzerinden yapılmıştır.Böylece bu iki partinin küresel siyasi sistemle uyum süreçlerinin, siyasipartilerin tabanları ile olan uyum süreçlerinin birbirlerini yansıtıpyansıtmadıklarının görülmesi hedeflenmiştir. Bu kapsamda karma yönteminkullanıldığı bir çalışma yapılmıştır. Her iki partinin tabanına yönelik olarak toplam14 ilde anket çalışması yapılırken, partileri temsil noktasındaki kişiler ilede aynı doğrultuda yapılandırılmış mülakat çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışma kapsamında eldeedilen veriler çerçevesinde küresel siyasi sistemle uyumlu politikalar takipeden siyasi partilerin hem parti tabanları ile daha doğrusal politikalar takipettikleri hem de genel siyasi süreç ve politikalarda daha başarılı olduklarıgörülmüştür.
