A Model Proposal on Environmental Security at Local Scale

Abstract

Prevention of environmental problems has a strategicimportance of struggle at local scale. Hence, in this study, it is aimed at presentinga model proposal at neighbourhood scale by putting forward the importance of aneffective organisational structure ensuring environmental security in achievingsustainable development and social structures. The SWOT analysis has been determined and used as themethod for the evaluation of the model and it has also benefited fromliterature review and technical and analytical reports produced by relatedinstitutions and organisations. In order to protect the environment and gain asecure form, taking initiatives for the residential areas where individualslive can provide an important mission to be fulfilled. Thus, the proposed modelcan contribute to the protection and sustainability of the environment.

Çevre sorunlarının önüne geçilmesindeyerel ölçekte mücadele edilmesi stratejik öneme sahiptir. Dolayısıyla buçalışmada, çevre güvenliğinin sağlanmasında etkin ve verimli bir örgütselyapının, sürdürülebilir kalkınma ve toplumsal yapılar elde etmedeki önemi ortayakoyularak, mahalle ölçeğinde bir model önerisi sunulması amaçlanmaktadır. SWOT analizi modelindeğerlendirilmesinde yöntem olarak belirlenmiş, ayrıca literatür taraması veilgili kurum ve kuruluşların yayınladıkları teknik ve analitik raporlardan dafaydalanılmıştır. Böylece önerilenmodelin, çevrenin korunmasına ve sürdürülebilirliğine katkı sağlayabilmektedir.
