Sahibi Bilinmeyen Hususi Bir Masraf Defterinin Osmanlı Sosyal ve İktisat Tarihi Açısından Kullanılabilirliğine Dair Bir Deneme

Abstract

Başbakanlık Osmanlı Arşivi’nde müteferrik defterler fonunda bulunan “HususîMasraf Defterleri” içerdiği bilgilerin niteliği bakımından oldukça önemlidir. Budefterlerin çoğunluğu konak, çiftlik vb. gibi gayrimenkuller ile çalışanlarına aitgünlük masraf listelerini ihtiva etmektedir. Fakat aralarında tüccar ve esnafzümresine ait defterler de mevcuttur. Bu defterlerin incelenmesi ile o bölge vedöneme ait fiyat tarihi, gelir düzeyi, tüketim alışkanlıkları gibi birçok husus ayrıntılarıile ortaya konulabilmektedir. Özellikle sosyal ve iktisat tarihi çalışanaraştırmacılar açısından bu defterler fevkalade zengin bilgiler ihtiva etmektedir.Bu araştırmada; Başbakanlık Osmanlı Arşivi Bab-ı Defteri Müteferrik DefterlerFonuna ait 37228 nolu defter incelenerek genel olarak bu defterlerin Osmanlısosyal ve iktisat tarihi açısından önemine dikkat çekilmeye çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca19. yüzyılın ilk yarısı İstanbul’unun gündelik hayatına dair bazı bilgiler verilmiştir.

“Personal Cost Books” in the muteferrik books section of the Prime Minister's Ottoman Archives in terms of information that contained are very important. Most of these books include mansions, farms etc. as well as real estate and daily expense lists for employees. However, there are also books that belongs to the merchants and craftsmen. By examining these books, many issues such as price history, income level and consumption habits related to that region and period can be explained in detail. These books consist of extraordinarily rich information especially in terms of researchers who are studying on social and economic history. In this study, by examining the number 37228 book belonging to the Prime Ministry Ottoman Archives’ Bab-ı Defteri Muteferrik books section was tried to draw attention to the importance of these books in terms of Ottoman social and economic history in general. In addition, some information was given about the daily life of Istanbul in the first half of the 19th century.
