Çimento sektöründeki işletmelerin finansal bilgilerine yönelik performans değerlendirmesi

Abstract

Çimento endüstrisi, son yıllarda Türkiye gibi gelişmekte olan ülkelerde hızla büyüme kaydetmiştir. Nüfus artışı ile doğrudan orantılı olarak artan konut ve alt yapı ihtiyacı çimento sektörünün büyümesine önemli katkı sağlamaktadır. Türkiye çimento endüstrisi hem iç talebi karşılama hem de ihracat alanında başarılı bir performans göstererek sektörde adından söz ettiren önemli ülkelerken biri olmuştur. Bu sebeple çimento sektörü ulusal ve uluslararası düzeyde birçok bilimsel çalışmaya konu olmuştur. Çalışmanın amacı Türkiye'de ve dünya çapında çimento sektörü hakkında elde edilen üretim, kapasite, istihdam, ihracat vb. alanlarda bilgiler vermek ve Türkiye çimento sanayisinin finansal bilgilerini inceleyerek performans değerlemesi yapmaktadır. Çalışmada Borsa İstanbul'da işlem gören Taş ve Toprağa Dayalı sanayi grubunda bulunan 15 işletmenin 2008 ve 2019 yılları dâhil olmak üzere 180 firma-yıl gözlemi üzerinde oran analizi, çoklu karar verme teknikleri ve firma yaşam eğrisi analizi uygulanmış olup elde edilen bulgular yorumlanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre Türkiye çimento endüstrisi nakit döngüsü yüksek, borçlanma ve yatırımda ağırlıklı olarak özkaynak finansmanı kullanan ve genel olarak sektör yapısı itibari ile başarılı işletme yapısına sahip olduğu görülmüştür.

Cement industry in recent years has achieved rapid growth in developing countries such as Turkey.
