VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS' OPINIONS ABOUT THE IMPACT OF HISTORICAL MOVIES OR SERIES ON RAISING THE INTEREST FOR HISTORY

Abstract

In this survey, opinions of students for the question whether historical movies or series raise the interest of history or not are studied. As data gathering tool, a questionnaire developed by the researcher was used. Questionnaires was answered by 402 students actively continuing their education in Vocational High Schools of Kırklareli University in the spring semester of 2012-2013 academic year. In the analysis of the collected data IBM SPSS Statistics 20 program was used. For data analysis, techniques of reliability analysis, frequency analysis, t test, analysis of variance were used. As the result of this survey, historical movies and series are found out to be effective for raising the interest for history

Bu araştırmada, tarihî film veya tarihî dizilerin tarihe ilgiyi artırıp artırmadığına yönelik öğrenci görüşleri ele alınmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen anket kullanılmıştır. Anketler, 2012-2013 eğitim-öğretim yılı bahar döneminde Kırklareli Üniversitesi bünyesindeki Meslek Yüksekokullarında öğrenime devam eden toplam 402 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Toplanan verilerin analizi için IBM SPSS Statistics 20 programından yararlanılmıştır.Toplanan verilerin çözümlenmesinde güvenirlik analizi, frekans analizi, t-testi ve varyans analizi teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, tarihî film ve tarihî dizilerin tarihe ilginin artmasında etkili olduğu bulunmuştur
