The social relations of Turks with Bulgarian in the context of ethnic peace in Bulgaria
Abstract
Presence of Turks in the territory of Bulgaria are based on ancient times. With access to the Ottoman Balkans, Bulgaria has experienced a significant Turkish presence and domination. The Turks in Bulgaria have left many traces of civilization and cultural monuments. Five hundred years held management with withdrawal from the Balkans, there are Turks, who have been exposed to a great persecution and assimilation have suffered seriousy, but they have fought for and maintained their self-identity. Recently, changes in the management and development in line with Bulgaria to Turkey, but long ago given rights which no force, as of the year 2012 came up again and repression in the Communist era in Bulgaria has been condemned by Parliament. Beyond the political developments, al-Ahl al-Sunna and Baktashi/Alawi Muslim Turkish people lived together with Bulgarian people, acted together in social life, established friendships and marriages. In this study, we deal with the issue of how Turks living in Bulgaria evaluate togetherness in social life, friendship and marriages.
