Yeni Eğitim Paradigması ve Bilgi Toplumunda Kütüphaneler

Abstract

Sanayi toplumundan bilgi toplumuna doğru bir dönüşüm içinde bulunduğumuz günümüz dünyasında; teknolojik, ekonomik, toplumsal ve kültürel anlamda önemli değişimler gerçekleşmekte ve bu değişimler en iyi “paradigma değişikliği” şeklinde adlandırılmaktadır. Eğitim alanı da bu değişim sürecinden payını almakta ve bilgi toplumuna özgü eğitim paradigması, sanayi toplumuna özgü paradigmadan bir kopuş halinde yeniden tanımlanmaktadır. Bu yeni eğitim paradigmasının yansıdığı eğitim sistemi öğelerinin başında kütüphaneler gelmektedir. Kütüphanelerin, bilgi toplumuna doğru dönüşümde katalizör etkisi bulunmaktadır. Çünkü, ulusları bilgi toplumu seviyesine çıkarabilecek bilgi, beceri ve nitelikte insan kaynağının yetiştirilmesine katkıda bulunan kurumlar, kütüphanelerdir. Bu bağlamda bu çalışmanın amacı; bilgi toplumuna özgü eğitim paradigmasını etraflı bir şekilde inceleyerek, bilgi toplumunda kütüphanelerin konumu hakkında bilgi vermektir.

Within today’s context, in which there is a transformation from the industrial society to the knowledge society; there have been important changes in technological, economic, social and cultural fields and these changes can be best identified as “paradigm changes”. The field of education has also been subject to this kind of change; the new education paradigm proper to the knowledge society is being redefined and the old education paradigm of the industrial society becomes invalid. One of the elements of the education system, upon which this new education paradigm reflects, are libraries. The libraries have a catalytic effect on the transformation process towards knowledge society. Therefore, the object of this paper is to comprehensively examine the education paradigm, that is proper to the knowledge society and to give information about the position of the libraries in the Knowledge Society
